Ex-vivo specimen of oropharynx, tongue, vocal cords and trachea with artificial tumors

  • Excision of tumors in the upper airway

Upper Airway Bleeding Model

Ex-vivo specimen of oropharynx, tongue, vocal cords and trachea with bleeding vessels sutured into the oropharynx

  • Management of upper airway bleeding with cautery

Tonsillectomy Model

Ex-vivo specimen of oropharynx, tongue, vocal cords and trachea. Artificial tonsils can be resected

  • Tonsillectomy

EBUS Cartridge

Endobronchial ultrasound model for the training of EUS-guided lymph node biopsy.

Ex-vivo porcine specimen consists of trachea, lungs and artificial lymph nodes in anatomically correct locations

  • Diagnostic EBUS

  • EBUS-guided lymph node biopsy

Endobronchial Ultrasound Model

We recently developed a novel endobronchial ultrasound model for the training of EUS-guided lymph node biopsy. This model uses porcine tissue to resemble a real trachea. Real tissue lymph nodes are located in the correct anatomical position. The tissue haptics when the needle penetrates the trachea and then the lymph node provide human-like experience. Tracheal bleeding can be simulated as well.
