Hysteroscopy Simulation Model
We recently developed a novel hysteroscopy model for the training of diagnostic and therapeutic hysteroscopic procedures. This model uses porcine uterine tissue with altered anatomy to resemble a human uterus. Artificial tumors can be created in the myometrium to simulate hysteroscopic ablation techniques. Bleeding can be simulated with the creation of artificial vessels in the uterine wall. These vessels are connected to a roller pump which delivers artificial blood. Hemostasis techniques can be simulated in a hazard-free environment without the risk of patient harm.
